As a Data Engineer / ETL & Interface Developer, you will work on a core part of our platform: data integration. You analyze existing ERP systems, build robust import and interface processes, and ensure that customer data is transferred into Impower in a reliable, clean, and scalable way. Your work has a direct impact on product quality, onboarding speed, and customer satisfaction.

Your mission

ERP Analysis & Data Architecture

Analyze existing ERP systems in the German market
Identify data models, export paths, and integration options
Design reusable interface and import strategies

ETL & Interface Development

Develop automated import interfaces, scripts, and tools for data extraction
Build stable ETL/ELT pipelines to reliably transform customer data
Continuously improve and optimize existing import functionality in Impower
Automate previously manual data onboarding processes

Data Migration & Data Quality

Execute data migrations for complex and large customer projects
Map and match legacy systems to Impower’s data structures
Perform logical, technical, and domain-specific validation of incoming data
Convert all incoming data into a unified Impower standard
Ensure high data quality prior to go-live

Product & Process Design

Develop intuitive self-import features for non-technical users
Build scalable data pipelines, tools, and technical standards
Contribute to the design and improvement of internal onboarding and data processes
Document and continuously improve the data infrastructure

Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with onboarding project management, customer success, and product teams
Coordinate with internal and external developers
Handle individual data-related tasks within defined SLAs

Your profile

Technical Requirements

Several years of experience in data engineering, ETL, data processing, or interface development
Strong skills in data manipulation, comparison, and transformation
Experience with scripting languages, automation (custom scripts, low-code/no-code), and data pipelines
Solid knowledge of API-based and/or file-based interfaces
Ability to quickly understand and analyze complex data structures

Professional & Personal Skills

Very good German and English language skills
Structured, precise, and solution-oriented working style
High sense of responsibility and strong quality standards
Ability to explain technical topics clearly to non-technical users
Team-oriented mindset combined with the ability to work independently

Nice to Have

Experience in software development or with modern cloud technologies
Experience in PropTech, ERP, or SaaS environments
Basic understanding of UX/UI principles
Experience in project management or customer-facing roles

Als Data Engineer / ETL & Interface Developer arbeitest du an einem zentralen Bestandteil unserer Plattform: der Datenintegration. Du analysierst bestehende ERP-Systeme, entwickelst robuste Import- und Schnittstellenprozesse und sorgst dafür, dass Kundendaten zuverlässig, sauber und skalierbar in Impower überführt werden. Deine Arbeit hat direkten Einfluss auf Produktqualität, Onboarding-Geschwindigkeit und Kundenzufriedenheit.

Deine Aufgaben

ERP-Analyse & Datenarchitektur

Analyse bestehender ERP-Systeme im deutschen Markt
Identifikation von Datenmodellen, Exportpfaden und Integrationsmöglichkeiten
Entwicklung wiederverwendbarer Schnittstellen- und Importstrategien

ETL- & Schnittstellenentwicklung

Entwicklung automatisierter Import-Schnittstellen, Skripte und Tools zur Datenextraktion
Aufbau stabiler ETL-/ELT-Pipelines zur sauberen Transformation von Kundendaten
Weiterentwicklung und Optimierung bestehender Importfunktionen in Impower
Automatisierung bisher manueller Daten-Onboarding-Prozesse

Datenmigration & Datenqualität

Durchführung von Datenmigrationen für komplexe und große Kundenprojekte
Mapping und Matching von Alt-Systemen auf die Impower-Datenstruktur
Logische, technische und fachliche Validierung eingehender Daten
Konvertierung aller Daten in einen einheitlichen Impower-Standard
Sicherstellung hoher Datenqualität vor dem Go-live

Produkt- & Prozessgestaltung

Entwicklung intuitiver Self-Import-Funktionen für nicht-technische Nutzer:innen
Aufbau skalierbarer Datenpipelines, Tools und technischer Standards
Mitgestaltung interner Onboarding- und Datenprozesse
Dokumentation und kontinuierliche Verbesserung der Dateninfrastruktur

Zusammenarbeit & Kommunikation

Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Onboarding-Projektmanagement, Customer Success und Produkt
Abstimmung mit internen und externen Entwickler:innen
Bearbeitung einzelner Datenaufgaben im Rahmen definierter SLAs

Dein Profil

Technische Anforderungen

Mehrjährige Erfahrung im Bereich Data Engineering, ETL, Datenverarbeitung oder Schnittstellenentwicklung
Sehr gute Kenntnisse in Datenmanipulation, -vergleich und -transformation
Erfahrung mit Skriptsprachen, Automatisierung (Custom Scripts, Low-Code/No-Code) und Datenpipelines
Gute Kenntnisse in API-basierten und/oder dateibasierten Schnittstellen
Fähigkeit, komplexe Datenstrukturen schnell zu erfassen und zu analysieren

Fachliche & persönliche Kompetenzen

Sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse und Englischkenntnisse
